Are any active members in the Houston area Malankara Catholic, or have any experience with the Malankara Catholic parish in the Houston area?

They use both English and Malayalam with Syriac in both. The Houston Church is newly bought and blessed, so it will be one of the few that look fully authentically Malanara Syriac in the US. I cannot attest to the priest as I Haven’t attended, but the people I spoke to say good things. Send me a PM if you’d like me to try and hook you up with individuals from that specific parish. I’ll chk with a few people and forward your details to them, if you like.

The Malankara Catholic Church is in Stafford next to the Stafford Civic Center. The Knanaya Catholic Community Center and the Knanaya Homes Neighborhood are down the same road. In the same vicinity is the Malankara Orthodox Cathedral and the Syro Malabar Church is only a few minutes down from all this. All the Syrian Christians from Kerala congregated in the same area haha. The new Malankara Catholic church is very appealing and designed nicely, I pass by it all the time.

I’ve attended the Indian Orthodox Cathedral and I know where the Syro-Malabar Church is. I’m looking forward to attending Holy Qurbana at the Malankara Catholic Church.

Take a chance to visit the following below as well, all only 5-10 minutes apart! I’ve actually only been to the Syro Malabar Church and the St. Thomas Malankara Cathedral many years ago before it was a cathedral. I hope you have a great experience at the Malankara Catholic Church. I have never got the chance to step inside but this coming catechismal school year I’ll be taking the seventh grade Knanaya Catholics to experience the Holy Qurbono there. I am hoping that their priest will allow us to do a swap and let their seventh graders visit St. Mary’s and experience our Holy Qurbana as well.
