Mandisa Says She's Not a Gay 'Advocate'

Do you think she was eliminated because of her anti-gay stance? What do you think?

This is the first I’ve heard of this.

My kids correctly picked the bottom three last week based only on their opinions of the performances. While I really like Mandisa, my kids haven’t warmed up to her style.

At this stage in the competition, everyone who is left is pretty good (I have my favorites), so I don’t think Mandisa’s position on homosexuality played a major part in her leaving.
 
I don’t think so. Like Simon said, no matter how good of a voice you have, you’re ultimately going to be tied to how well you did on your song. Mandisa didn’t do well on her song, so it does not really surprise me.

I believe in the article you linked she says the following regarding why she was voted off:
“Honestly, I’m not sure,” she says. “I’ve heard a lot of different theories about what could have happened, and all of 'em sound pretty decent to me.”

She’s practicing Christian virtues to best of ability. Even tho she is, she shouldn’t be picked on for it.
