What should Catholics think of manifest destiny?
I don’t think there’s an official “Catholic Position” on the matter. But since it was, essentially, the genocide of the native residents of the North American continent and the theft of their land by European descendants, I’m guessing that it there was one, it would be “not good”.What should Catholics think of manifest destiny?
natives killed each other and took land from each other before the europeans landed. it was the way of the world. But since it was, essentially, the genocide of the native residents of the North American continent and the theft of their land by European descendants, I’m guessing that it there was one, it would be “not good”.
