I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and love Mardi Gras. Why is it that it isn’t more common elsewhere? It seems to only be from mobile, AL to NewOrleans, LA.
It’s identified with the French who lived in a certain region. People want Mardi Gras to be in Louisiana just like they want the Rose Parade in Pasadena and the St. Patrick’s Day parades in Boston and NYC.
