Though not a Catholic of Hispanic heritage, I have a lot of devotion to the Blessed Mother under the title “Our Lady of Guadalupe.”
Why?

Well,the message is so simple. There isn’t much in the way of much private revelation, mysteries (like Fatima, which are perfectly fine mind you) or anything else. Simply by Our Lady’s presentation as a darker-skinned native woman shows the universality of the Christian faith.

OLOG is more than just a picture of the Blessed Mother. She is also a big part of Mexican nationalism and culture. And she brought huge numbers of Mexican Indians (native Mexicans?) into the church.

Other nations have their own special Our Ladys of

France, Lourdes
England, Our Lady of Walsingham
Ireland, Our Lady of Knock
etc etc.

I would love to have a statue of La Caridad del Cobre.
 
Our Lady Mary Help of Christians!

This the VERY TITLE which precisely delineates Our Lady’s role in the Redemption project.
 
I was always under the impression that Our Lady of Grace and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal were the same reprentation of Our Blessed Mother. All of these representations are beautiful. Here in Rome the is a representation of our Blessed Mother on buildings at almost every street corner, and many in between. I am going to miss that when we go back to America to live.
 
Good heavens woman just pick the one to which you are drawn.Why care what we think! Are you that indecisive and lacking in self esteem?It is the same Mother! Why don’t you draw a picture of what you think Mary should look like and pray with that in mind! Too many of these posts are dippy and so am I for responding.God help us all .Much like the apostles arguing who would sit at the right and left side of Christ while His and their mission was yet complete.HA!!
 
Personally, I would gow with one you have not named. I like Our Lady of the Assumption statues. However, as said, I don’t believe it truely matters which one you choose.

Look in to their meanings/histories of the apparitions, and choose according to your heart.

For example, my love for O.L. of the Assumption stems from that I am a Cajun, and O.L. of the Assumption is our Patron Saint.
 
That’s a tough choice, I selected Immaculate Heart of Mary, but whichever title/artwork you end up picking, you can’t go wrong with devotion to Our Lady. 🙂
 
OL of Mt Carmel. I belong to the Lay Carmelites and wear the Scapular.
 
My grandparents had these large (at least 16x20 inch) reproductions of paintings of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

So, as an option to a small statue, I’d suggest a larger “painting” of the Blessed Virgin.

One of the most popular renderings over the centuries has been the Madonna and Child.

I don’t know how to attach a photo of the picture I have in my living room. But, it’s a fairly noticeable image.
 
I voted for Our Lady of Grace, as that is the statue used on the Legion of Mary altar, but I would put in a word for Our Lady of Knock as well.

I have a small statue of a Vietnamese version of Our Lady - she is dressed in the traditional Vietnamese costume.
 
I voted for Our Lady of Guadalupe (again, just a personal preference), but ultimately it really doesn’t matter which image you get. It’s all the same Mary, after all.

P.S. I was born and raised in the Philippines, so I really feel some attachment to Filipino Marian images. Particularly Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage.

I went to a Salesian high school (hence my name) and Don Bosco had a huge devotion to Mary Help of Christians that stayed with me.

Mary, Help of Christians, pray for us! 👍
