I was wondering if my wife can masturbate before the marital act. That is the only way she can feel anything. She has diabetes. I was wondering if this was wrong.

If the nerves work when her fingers are there, then they will work when YOUR fingers are there. Oral stimulation is an option too. So, pardon my bluntness, but get down there and do your job, dude. Sexual pleasure should be mutual between husband and wife, and they should be helping each other “get there.” Not leaving one partner to do it alone.

I was going to suggest a sleigh riding outting, or maybe visiting the town’s Christmas light display. :ehh: 😊

Basilisk gives good advice, though. OP, your wife can also ‘direct’ you with your hand. Not meaning to be too blunt, but there are ways for you to assist, and help her feel pleasure.

My mom’s side of the family has this thing where for Christmas everyone who wants to participate will buy a $20 gift or so and puts it in the pile. Then each person who brought a present will get to pick one. On a scale of 1-5, I’d give it a 2 1/2. OK a 2. A near guarantee of one George Foreman.
 
Frank, you say diabetes is affecting your wife’s sexual response. Has she discussed this with her doctor? It’s possible that there is a medical solution for this problem.

I see a ton of posts like this on Family Life, I think they are really sincere (although I admit I find them startling sometimes). Some people are more comfortable asking these things on an anonymous internet forum, or they don’t know anyone to turn to in real life. We should be charitable and assume people are asking these questions in good faith.

That said, the title of the thread threw me for a loop too! I would not be inclined to describe the marital act as a family activity. 😛
