St. Elizabeth pray for us
St. Cecilia pray for us

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

St. Michael the archangel, defend us in battle,
be our protection against the snares and
wickedness of the devil. May God rebuke him,
we humbly pray, o prince of heavenly host, by
the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all
the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Praying that the Lord may heal your relationship and grant you all necessary graces. Also praying for your husband.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

**Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
enlighten our minds to perceive the mysteries
of the universe in relation to eternity.

Spirit of right judgment and courage,
guide us and make us firm in our baptismal decision
to follow Jesus’ way of love.

Spirit of knowledge and reverence,
help us to see the lasting value of justice
and mercy in our everyday dealings with one another.

May we respect life
as we work to solve problems of family and nation,
economy and ecology.

Spirit of God,
spark our faith,
hope and love into new action each day.

Fill our lives with wonder and awe
in your presence which penetrates all creation.

Amen. **

Catholic 1954,
You are over reacting. You absolutely should not recommend to anyone based on such limited information to leave anyone. That is absolutely wrong and absurd.

As far as the young married couple,take heart. Marriage is a long and sometimes difficult road. But, love him. He sounds stressed. Be merciful. I don’t know all the details of your circumstance, but speaking from experience, be patient and try to be understanding. If possible, try to help him and maybe you get out of this rut.

God Bless
I am sorry, but she is not overreacting. He is being immature and sounds like a brute. Talking to a new mother and his and her own son about wringing her ****** neck. That is domestic abuse, no two “and’s” about it. He needs help, and she does too most likely from having to endure the abuse. While leaving may be premature, if his behavior continues, leaving is very much on the table. At best he is a little boy bully who had better grow up soon.

I will pray for you, him, and your son.

Never posted before but feel compelled to reply. This sounds like a replay of my marriage.
Fast forward 18 years, many counselors, many books read, sinking into depression, trying to figure out what is wrong and how to deal with it. It’s true marriages have a difficult transition when children arrive, but this sounds more extreme. A number of years ago I read “The Emotionally Abusive Relationship” by Beverly Engel which shed some light on things. Still it’s taken me several more years until a new therapist most recently suggested I read about personality disorders. I have no idea if your husband has traits of this as mine does, but even if he doesn’t I think you would find this website BPDfamily.com very helpful. There are sections on “Lessons” and “Tools” that are very helpful for how to decrease the conflict and how to change your reactions so as not to make the situation worse. Lots of communications tools, etc. Hope this helps.
Praying for you.
