“The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

This was read in the gospel at Mass today.

What have you done recently to love your neighbor?
 
That is such a great question. I saw how to love your neighbor put into action today by my 2 year old, of all people.

We were at the dentist in the waiting room, and there was a little boy who was afraid. He was probably 3 or 4. My little girl went to the toys, chose a stuffed puppy, went over to the little boy, and then gently put her hand to his cheek. She said, “No scare. Puppy.” And the little boy smiled, took the puppy, and they started to play together. It touched my heart so deeply to see true compassion from such little children, and it made this mama very, very proud.
 
That absolutely warmed my heart. Thank you so much for sharing that! 😃
