I was raised and confirmed in the Catholic church. In my previous marriage we were married in a Pentecostal church because she wouldn’t get consent to a Catholic wedding. A couple of years later we divorced and no longer talk. I have sense rejoined the Catholic church, and now I am looking to get married. My fiance is not Catholic, but is willing to have a Catholic wedding ceremony. What do I need to do to get married in Catholic church?

You’ll need to get in contact with your local priest. He’ll know what to do.

Make an appointment with your pastor. Lay out all the facts, and follow his directions.

The path this takes depends on whether you received a dispensation from form for your marriage in the Pentecostal Church. It also depends on whether your ex or your current intended have any prior marriages.

We don’t need those details here, but your pastor needs them and will ask these sorts of questions to get all the information he needs to proceed.

First stop: your pastor.
