Pope Pius XII said, in Allocation to Midwives, 1951:
The individual and society, the people and the State, the Church itself, depend for their existence, in the order established by God, on fruitful marriages. NFP is information, not contraception.How does it differ from other forms of contraception.
Contraception is an action taken before, during, or after intercourse to thwart its natural end.
With NFP, If you need to avoid, you refrain from the marital embrace rather than engage in it and disorder it.
The difference is in refraining rather than contracepting.
