Minnesotans, I hope this is listed in the right forum, because I want to reach you all and remind you of the Big Marriage Amendment Rally, Tuesday, March 21st at the Capitol. It will begin at 11:30am and last till about 12:30pm. In the past, the Archbishop has always sent (allowed?), a priest to speak at this ecumenical rally, but now, at last, all the bishops in the state actually have signed on to supporting the amendment.
It is always the biggest Capitol rally of the year, and it gets bigger each year, with many children of all ages. But, parking is not as difficult as might be expected. I always choose the part of the Sear’s lot permitted for this sort of thing. It is right off #94.
If you can’t make it, do take time to call your state senators and legislators and let them know that Minnesotans deserve a chance to vote on this issue. We certainly don’t want the definition of marriage left up to the judges. Citizens in other states have been allowed to vote; we deserve our chance.
And, don’t be persuaded by the “we already have a law on the books,” argument. Tell them, “So did Massachusettes, for all the good it did them!”
And pray continuously,
Anna
