I want to know about Chuch viewpoint about this.
I’ve ever heard that in Catholic Church we are not allowed to get married to our cousin, at least both of people who are getting married is more than six generations below the ancestors.

how about if there is couple less than six generation, who insist to get married? is it still allowed by Catholic hierarchy?

regards,
shinta

You’ve heard wrong. It’s not six generations, it’s four ‘degrees’. First cousins are four degrees, so it’s not normally allowed, but it is possible for it to be dispensed. Do a search here for “first cousins” for more information.
