What I am trying to say is I feel like God’s idea of marriage is this all which are equally important

1st: You need to bond with them enough to know you are willing to take that to next level (like you said you have to ask yourself ‘are these feelings real’ and ‘does he/she have the same sense of right and wrong’ what have you)

2nd: He/she need to bring the best out of you, make you a better person, help you do the right thing and be the shoulder to cry on and vice versa

3rd: Even if you argue you can make up for it, showing that your love for each other endures

4th: Your love begets love to those around you

5th: You make each happy and you love each other for who you are, vices and virtues

it seems to me that people make it ‘chose one’, like some sort of false dilemma and dichotomy

I mean with all that put together I don’t see it as ‘not romance’ sure it may not be hyped up all the time but it doesn’t mean it should be purely platonic, thats what friends and family are for, its the same but its own thing…do get what I’m saying?

Even if two people marry without feeling romantic about it, they can learn to love each other deeply. Love is an act of our will, not something we “fall into.” Love that is thus freely given does not blind our eyes as we walk down the aisle to say our vows. Both people should know that the person they are marrying isn’t going to ring their bell all the time, that there are going to be hard times as well as good times. It’s immature to think it will be all sunshine and roses just because two people feel they’re “in love.”
👍👍

Awesome!
