Jesus said that heaven was like a wedding banquet. In His time, friends and relatives came from miles around to a wedding. They stayed for days, visiting with each other and being glad to see all the people they knew and loved. They laughed and were happy. Isn’t this why He said heaven is like a wedding banquet?
It is a wedding bnanquet he is married to the church the saints is his bride, that is why I dont want to be married to anyone else. SEE!👍 Love of Christ Nancy

He will make your enemies your foot stool If Jesus was flesh and blood how did he walk through a wall with that solid form?
My understanding is we are composed of electrons and protons and these generate magnetic fields, these fields albeit on an atomic scale prevent us from passing through a wall, the ground or any other solid object. It has to do with magnetic repulsion, like two north ends of a magnet coming together they repel one another. I only mention this because there is a real physical reason why we can’t pass through walls.

In a glorified state or glorified body, we are unfettered by the physical world and thus we will be able to do many amazing things just like Jesus did. 🙂

99% of the mass of the human body is made up of only six elements: oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, and phosphorus. Every organic molecule contains carbon. Since 65-90% of each body cell consists of water (by weight), it isn’t surprising that oxygen and hydrogen are major components of the body.
Here’s is a look at the major elements in the body and what these elements do.

Thanks, this is very interesting each of these elements are made up of electrons, neutrons and protons and all but the electron can be broken down into smaller particles. Water will take the path of least resistance and if there is away through the wall it will find it.I think though none of this has anything to do with the original inquiry regarding marriage in heaven. 😃

We are neither taken or given in marraige, in heaven Mathew 22:30 Mathew 24:38 Mark 12:25 Luke 20:34-35 Love of Christ Nancy:)

We believe there is discipline in the next life, from sins, and there must also be restoration. Jesus refers to crowns and things said before our angels. And Peter released from prison in Acts was mistaken for “his angel”. They resemble us, do you think? Then also your children, and from long ago, before the foundation of the world, lots of angels together with the five out of six zygotes that did not survive to fetal stage development and birth from you. Kingdoms of angels between you.

I think there will be a new order there amidst this. And perhaps observation of descendants.

There is reason to believe that we will somehow be united with our loved ones in heaven.

But you are focusing on what you think would make heaven good based on what is good here on the earth. But perhaps you need to consider what we can’t yet comprehend would be good in heaven because it’s just not available here on earth. We have to trust that whatever relationship with have with Jesus will be what marriage was just training us for.
Well said.

We’d do well to remember the words of St. Paul regarding regarding heaven:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the hearts of man what God has in store for those who love Him.”

The notion of planning your own heaven is sheer useless fantasy.
Have the Mormons come to visit OP lately? Seriously?
They promise "eternal " marriage and in doing so, contradict Jesus and St. Paul.

:DHI Logan Welcome to CAF as far as discipilne, yes Father will rule with an iron fist. God’s house is a house of order. But where there is love there will be order for love is correction, and love came with a price.
The crowns are identified as the Everlasting Crown (Victory) in 1 Cor 9:25, Crown of the Soul Winner in Phil 4:1 and 1 Thes 2:19, Crown of Righteousness in 2 Tim 4:8, Crown of Life in Jas 1:12 and Rev 2:10, and the Crown of Glory in 1 Peter 5:4.

Does the Church have any teachings regaurding marriage in Heaven? Does the sacrament continue?

I know there is a passage in Matthew if taken litteraly would seem to depict that marriage can not exist in Heaven.

I ask because this greatly disturbs me.

I have a very good and happy marriage and it breaks my heart to think it won’t continue in Heaven. My mind can’t comprihend Heaven as being a good place if I am not still my husband’s wife when I get there.

I understand that there is no need for creating children once in Heaven, but could it be possible at least from a spiritual end for marriage to still exist in Heaven, minus the marriage act and birthing of children?

I am just curious what the Church teaches. This is something that I am struggeling with right now.
***Congradulations on a “good and happy marriage.” Next week my bride and I will cerlebrate our 42nd. Anniversarry:D:thumbsup:

The answer to your questions lies in the bible.***

**Isaiah 43: 7 “every one who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."

Isaiah 43:21 “the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise.”

Eph. 1:11 “In him, according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will, we who first hoped in Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory.”

Heb. 16: 15 “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”
**

***At the root of your great question lies the LARGER QUESTION of "why were [are] we Created in the “image and likeness of God?” [Gen. 1:26]

The world we live in teaches, endorses, and promotes SELF in many, many way’s. It is necessary to look outward, beyond SELF, to be able to comprehend, understand and accept that this life is but “a passing thing”***

***Psalm 39: 12-13 “Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear to my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears! For I am thy passing guest, a sojourner, like all my fathers. Look away from me, that I may know gladness, before I depart *and be no more!” **

***You are blest, for God has heard your prayer!😉

But this life is but “a few years” our next life, AND WHERE WE [YOU AND ME] CHOSE TO SPEND IT IS ETERINITY… FOREVER… FOR ALL TIME!***

Thank God for what He in His Mercy has grated you and your family, BUT NEVER loose sight of understanding that is is a persoanl decision [affirmed by God] that determines where we spend eterinity. Live accordingly. as we are given only this life, brief as it is to decide.:o

Marrige as a Sacramnet cannot exist in heaven as it would conflict with the very purpose that we are there. To Love and serve God with all our minds, hearts and souls. We will have PERFECT hapiness, PERFECT peace, Perfect Joy, no wnats or desires except to serve and LOVE GOD!

Love and prayers,
Pat

Little Katie, PJM did a wonderful job explaining to you about marraige in heaven. But remember what else is said, that he will give to those who are his the desire of their hearts? Katie read Psalms 20 all of it. and then read Mark 10: 35-45 and the last one that is given to you is Mark 11:24 You are very beautiful and Father has blessed you and your husband and that is wonderful You are Loved ! Love of Christ Nancy:)

I would think of it as though you know who your spouse is, and recognize they are there in Heaven with you. But you’re cup will be so full, that it won’t bother you that the bonds of marriage are broken. In fact, nothing will bother you. Heaven is a place of pure joy. That’s why we’re working so hard to get there. 😉
I believe this is a truly beautiful response. I personally agree with this because it is what we are to focus on: We will be so filled with joy and happiness just knowing God and Jesus that NOTHING will bother us; we will be eternally over-joyed! 🙂 Also, I believe that we will know all of our loved ones along with everyone else… The special bonds we have will not be forgotten. This, of course, is how *I *feel 🙂 PJM also has a beautiful response!
