Marriage with different financial backgrounds

Don’t marry someone for her background in living within limited means. Hang around people of limited means, and marry for love. I suspect that is what he did: that is, to let the other guys pursue the rich girls by trying to hang around with rich people, while he dated women who could accept any standard of living they might achieve by keeping a circle of friends with those values.
 
You need to get marriage or financial counseling or both and you need it ASAP. Money issues are the #1 reason for divorce in the US. Some things my seem little right now but they will escalate. You need to nip this in the bud now and make sure you and your wife are on the same page.
