I appreciate all the suggestions, but what exactly is NFP and how does it work. Sorry, I am new here.

I REALLY look forward to praying together with my future wife…
Perhaps that kind of attitude is why the divorce rates are so low? Because both love each other enough to spend that kind of time together…So perhaps the statistics show that couples that are truly in love pray together, rather than just showing that the simple act of praying help…Or perhaps its just both together…I’m confusing myself now…

IS NFP reliable?

More reliable than any kind of artificial method. Artificial method statistics don’t even take into account that conception can only happen during ovulation anyway.

Artificial methods that are chemicals in the body are harmful to the body. How else do you take a “pill” That makes the body stop working the way its supposed to?

Artificial methods are damaging to the soul.

Remember, marriage is about procreation of children. There must be a reason to avoid having children. If that reason occurs, then one can see about avoiding sex during the fertile times.

I whole-heartedly agree that praying together is a great form of spiritual intimacy. And its something I greatly look forward to.

Hi there - thanks so much for starting this thread. I’m not very good at praying myself and I think it would help me a lot if I prayed with my husband more often. The ideas here have given me some extra confidence to raise it with my husband!

NO, only sometimes…We both feel too awkward praying together, although we do pray FOR eachother!
