For those that are married have you grown more like your spouse in temperament and character as the years together go by?
And for those who still have their parents do you remember them becoming more like each other in small ways?

As far as temperament goes my wife has had a calming effect on me. I guess you could say she tamed me 🤣
We definitely can communicate silently. I’ll have to think about this some more.

Only my mother is still living. I’ll have to think about this some too.

We had lots of problems during the early years of our marriage. We had some dream and ideal about our marriage but these were what we thought individually. Sometimes we clashed because of different takes on some issues.

However, most of the things we did were to mimic what our parents did, especially on my part. Needless to say, our marriage was in a mess. There were more quarrels and misunderstanding than time for real joy and love in the marriage.

The turning point of our marriage was when we were renewed in the Holy Spirit. Following that we attended a couple of marriage seminars run by the parish. Our eyes were opened as we learned what it was like for Christian marriage, Christisn husband/Christian wife, communication in marriage, parenting, relationship with the in-laws, Christian sexuality and how to handle finance in marriage.

There was a clear direction in our marriage. Things were clear-cut and much time was saved as there was less misunderstanding and quarrel. We were more loving and the relationship was based on strong foundation in Christ. Our spiritual life was also improving as we desire personal holiness and commitment to God.

It was a journey but it really helped to fall on God’s principle than depending on our own wisdom in marriage. We experienced many blessings more than what we expected.

God bless.
