Watch the news and listen to the politicians…totally Marxist, not good.
Salutations,I wish.
No one is talking about Marxism.Salutations,
I’m confused. What do you wish? Your religion is listed as agnostic but your name in Regular Atheist. I believe the topic is our politicians are talking Marxism.
Is it your wish we are evolving into a communist country?
An agnostic believes in a God but questions some of the teachings. An atheist believes in only things he can see and touch. Like St, Thomas who doubted Christ’s resurrection.
“SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.” “THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS IN YOU.”
Ask the Apologists some of the questions that may help you secure your belief.
May the Hold Spirit bring you to your answers.you need to focus on your relationship with the God who loves you.
in Christ’s love

Not seeing it. Even Bernie Sanders, a self-described socialist, isn’t even a real socialist, let alone a Marxist.Watch the news and listen to the politicians…totally Marxist, not good.
Correct. If one know what Marxism actually is, as it encompasses some of the concepts that I enumerated above. Bernie, does to some extent, embody them. For instance, he does admit the US’ role in overthrowing Arbenz in 1954 and regards the event negatively, but I do not see much of the other five concepts of Marxism. He certainly does not advocate “class struggle” or “class consciousness” in any substantial sense. Not seeing it. No, but the gap between rich and poor could become so great by the adulation of business interests with contempt for unions and the less fortunate that the crapped on classes could frankly get tired of it all and side with an open racist and bully named Trump to stick it to the man, with real world consequences. Those of an alternate persuasion and middle class could side with a senator from Vermont who openly claims to be a socialist in response. Just saying. So, the crises of capitalism have become so acute you foresee the proletariat seizing control of the means of production, distribution and exchange in the near future?
Yeah. Communism/socialism is always evoked as some incredibly scary thing that we should all just immediately recognize as evil, but I think we need to move away from capitalism. I don’t believe this is actually occurring through our political system, however, and I don’t think it will ever be able to through reforms. Is it your wish we are evolving into a communist country?
An agnostic is someone who is not sure about the existence of God. My name stems from the fact that when I first signed up here I was an edgy New Atheist type.An agnostic believes in a God but questions some of the teachings. An atheist believes in only things he can see and touch.
I’d just been pointing out that terms like ‘Marxism’ really do imply quite specific ideas.
It’s exactly the point when you use a specific term like ‘Marxism’.Stuff about “proletariat seizing control of the means of production, distribution and exchange” is not the point,
I’m afraid you have me at a disadvantage there.it is window dressing like the horrible plastic urns they put in the windows of gambling shops.
You’ll have to explain. Most capitalism these days, and liberal democracy, is pursued along the lines of the intended dynamic.
Capitalism creates wealth. There is no need to move away from it. Capitalism, more than any kind of philosophy, enabled more people to be nonpoor than ever before.Yeah. Communism/socialism is always evoked as some incredibly scary thing that we should all just immediately recognize as evil, but I think we need to move away from capitalism. I don’t believe this is actually occurring through our political system, however, and I don’t think it will ever be able to through reforms.

Which sounds an awful lot like more of the same, ie lumping things that you don’t like together and adding the term ‘Marxism’ in the mix to show just how naughty everything is.Its not just a class struggle, its a type of Cultural Marxism.
“Cultural Marxism” is the new Judeo-Bolshevik Conspiracy. I think it’s pretty telling that a lot of the people who advocate the Cultural Marxism conspiracy theory are neo-Nazis.Which sounds an awful lot like more of the same, ie lumping things that you don’t like together and adding the term ‘Marxism’ in the mix to show just how naughty everything is.
No, these things are truly destroying our country. not only are they destroying our morals but if they are not stopped they can also create wars.Which sounds an awful lot like more of the same, ie lumping things that you don’t like together and adding the term ‘Marxism’ in the mix to show just how naughty everything is.
Well, that may, or may not, be the case but adding ‘Marxism’ into the equation is another matter altogether. No, these things are truly destroying our country. not only are they destroying our morals but if they are not stopped they can also create wars.
