I have two questions here. Does everyone who attains to salvation through Christ do so because Mary has called us to Christ? And Also is the Coptic tradition a valid tradition salvation wise? Supposed to be founded by Mark. Could he establish Bishops that ordained Priests to forgive sin? Was he Luke’s Scribe?

Here is one theory about the origin of the Coptic Church. I’m no specialist and I can’t claim to pass judgment on it one way or the other. I’m just repeating something I found in a reputable source, Arnold Toynbee (ed.), The Crucible of Christianity.

The Coptic Church may have derived from Judaeo-Chrstian missions, although its origins remain obscure. Certainly Paul never reached Egypt, and the presence in Africa of large Jewish communities suggests that the earliest missionary activity there may have been Judaeo-Christian.

You mention Luke and Mark at the end of your post. Luke was one of Paul’s aides, secretaries, and fixers, while Mark is thought to have acted in a similar capacity for Peter.

What I meant about Mark was wasn’t he Luke’s scribe as Luke was a physician? Isaiah is quoted as say that in that day a pillar will go out into Egypt or something like that. I have heard it means mark. Perhaps Mark was fulfilling Peter’s request. Or Paul’s.

I assume that you are speaking of the Coptic Orthodox Church rather than the Coptic Catholic Church. The Catholic Church considers the Coptic Orthodox Church to have valid bishops in apostolic succession. They have valid sacraments.
