Forgive me if this sounds really stupid, but what does it mean when it’s said that Mary, after her assumption, was crowned and seated on a throne? Are we talking about Mary literally wearing a crown and sitting on a throne we could make here on Earth or…what does it mean, exactly? :o

not a theologian…

crowned means “given authority” or “ornamented with grace” we see that term in the Bible, “crowned with glory” and “crowned with wisdom” and “crowned with authority”

a Throne is symbolic of rulership. “the Throne of God” and in old legal documents you would often see “from the Throne” meaning the authority of the King…

Seated is used often to describe someones position.Jesus is “seated at the right hand of God” (the most favored position, of someone with authority… or prestige… in most ancient cultures)

we do not know exactly what heaven is like, so i do not know exactly how being “crowned” would appear, or being on a throne… or if these thinsg would look like something we have… only infinitely better.
probably.
Jesus had a BODY when he was resurrected… only a glorified one. he sat with the disciples…so i would assume he would , in heaven, sit on something that would be recognizable as some kind of throne…

what woudl it look like exactly? i have no idea…

All of that makes sense to me except the part about Jesus sitting on something. I’m having a difficult time with that since thrones, chairs, and other inanimate objects are things we, as humans, made here on Earth.
Well, to be honest, I’m having some trouble envisioning Jesus and Mary in what looks like human form hagging out in space.
Another problem for me is…where exactly IS Heaven? Astronauts and the Hubble have been all over. Help me with this, someone.:o

Heaven is not a physical place but a state of being. Can we understand that? No. We can only speak in metaphorical terms when describing heaven. I think many people confuse heaven with the New Jerusalem revealed in a vision to St. John in the Book of Revelation. Even it may not be a physical place, but only an image to help us understand the grandeur, glory, abundance, beauty, etc. of being in the living presence of God. Our goal is union with God, not “getting to heaven”, per se. Mary is in union with God as are all the Saints in glory. Exactly how they enjoy his presence we cannot now know, but one day we shall, if we are in God’s grace upon our deaths.
