Because of your dedicated efforts, Mary Kay Company has contacted OneMillionMoms.com. They have decided NOT to support ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

According to Mary Kay spokesperson Shannon Summers, "We are going to revise our media mix that we are working on and we will not have Desperate Housewives in that mix."

I got the email from OMM earlier today, and since I am a Mary Kay consultant I promptly called the company, which by that time had already decided not to go ahead with the joint advertising venture. The rep I spoke with told me they’ve been getting phonecalls left and right!

For what it’s worth, I’ve always known Mary Kay to be the most ethical company around. They try very hard to stay true to the principles of Mary Kay Ash, who was a woman of high ethics. I’m pleased with the response to OMM, but I’m not surprised.
