I know this is a forbidden subject on this forum but I must forewarn your readers of a foundation that is spreading lies and making money while doing so. The foundation is called Mary Our Mother Foundation which promotes Medjugorje by telling people that “the Church has not yet made a final decision on the Medjugorje apparitions, no theological commission or Bishops’ conference has found anything in them that is contrary to the faith. They also claim that this foundation recognizes and accepts unconditionally that the final authority regarding the apparitions in Medjugorje rests with the Holy See of Rome, to whose judgement they will willingly accept.” They also dedicate this condemned appartion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
To set the record straight so your readers can beware and warn others to stir clear of this foundation, an Open Letter of Commission from the Bishop of Medjugorje, Bishop Peric, which was written Feb. 17, 2004 clearly states the opposite of what these people are claiming. I quote: "30 chosen priests and physicians working together in three Commissions of ten years in more than thirty meetings and not one but twenty bishops responsibly declared there exists no proof that the events in Medjugorje concern supernatural apparitions or revelations. On July 22, 1998 Cardinal Ratzinger responded in writing and I quote: “The only thing I can say regarding statements on Medjugorje ascribed to the Holy Father and myself is that they are complete invention”-frei erfunden-(O.P.,p.283).
Rome has spoken but Medjugorje promoters aren’t listening.
