While praying the Gorious Mysteries today and especially the Fourth Decade, Mary’s Assumption, I had a thought. I wondered if there is any historical evidence of Jesus and Mary communicating after His Ascnsion? I don’t recall reading anything on this subject. Someone told me that Mary lived to be in her 70’s. That would make many years gone by from Jesus’ Ascention to Her Death.

I am curious… Anyone have any information on this?

God Bless!

Her life was one of prayer for the Church, most likely. But no one actually knows.

She was the Mediatrix of All Graces.

So she must have been quite busy 🙂

According to Orthodox and some Western traditions, she was 61 (which is the number of Briggetine beads).

She lived a while in Ephesus with St. John, tried to see St. Lazarus and his sisters at Cyprus, but got blown off-course and landed at Athos, and eventually resettled in Jerusalem.
