As a Roman Catholic for 68 years I know that membership in the Freemasons is forbidden by the Church, even though the Masons do a lot of charitable work.
Recently I have been asked several times by “younger Catholics” if this rule was eliminated, and my answer has always been a very definite NO. Am I correct, and if so, could you provide me with some information on the Masons and why membership by Catholics is forbidden. Neophiliac
