Mass and Purgatory

This may be a silly question but can we offer up mass to shorten our own time due in purgatory?

It seems too funny to be true: leaving money for others to say mass for us.
It seems rather funny.
Tell you: i dont know.
 
Oh, man, this has me thinking…

I’m gonna count the coins in the jar and see if I have enough for a Mass. 😃

I once heard someone say, “If you want to get to heaven, reach out and help somebody else get to heaven”.

With that in mind, I’d pray for the souls in Purgatory and, in turn, those souls will pray for me when they get to heaven!
