What are requirements and expectations regarding what Catholic Church one attends? Is it OK to attend various different churches, even if it is only for the reason of “keeping it interesting?”
A Catholic may fulfill the obligation to attend Mass by attending any valid Catholic Mass anywhere.
One would hope that, when a person attends Mass at a church other than his own parish church, he nevertheless still meets the obligation of financially supporting his own parish church!
There are benefits to being known by your pastor and establishing yourself within your parish community, but you’re free to move about. I live within proximity of several parishes; I tend to rotate between a few, but I frequent only two where I know folks through involvement.
