Mass Card Donation

Hi,

I would like to have a Mass offered for my uncle`s Dad who passed away on Monday. I am going to get a Mass card tomorrow and was wondering what the appropriate donation is in order to have a Mass offered. Does anyone have advice on this?

Hi Maria,

Here in our area (Midwest), the custom is about 10-15 dollars…hope that helps…God Bless

Most parishes have a fixed rate…
Ours is $10 unannounced mass and $20 for announced mass.
The missions does a nice folder and that one is $15 (think this is a perpetual enrollment)
 
Ours is Ten dollars in Seattle and it was ten dollars in Michigan.
But… I don’t think they would mind if you gave more… or even less…
 
Thanks for all of the replies! I got one today at the National Shrine and the suggested donation was ten dollars. I was relieved! I used to live in Japan and it costs $50 there.
