Hello my friends,
I was just wondering about Mass Intentions during the day and I found myself thinking whether or not one could have a mass said for all the souls in Purgatory or is the Mass in general seen as a sacrifice for the souls in Purgatory? I was thinking of doing something along those lines but I’d rather seek clarification about such things first. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and God bless.
:thankyou:

Of course you can. We do that annually during November, remember?
It’s a very nice thing.

Absolutely, just to know for future reference! 😃
I will add, that if you really want to help folks…have Masses said while they are still living, and can amend or continue to be holy in their lives. 😉

Very true my friend, thank you for the clarification! 👍

You may have a Mass said for anyone living or dead.

I pay to have a Mass said for my deceased father once a month. However, before every Mass I offer it for all of the Holy Souls in Purgatory, especially my father and the Souls that have been forgot about or have no one to pray for them. I also offer God my prayers (especially the Rosary/Divine Mercy Chaplet), works, joys and sufferings for them every day.

I do this because they cannot help themselves. I feel it’s the least I can do to help them enter into God’s Kingdom.
