Mass of remembrance

I was not able to attend early morning Sunday mass in my church so I went to the other church nearby at 5 pm. It was Mass of remembrance with candle lighting after gospel, during mass, no creed recited. It was beautiful, but should it be done after mass ?

Why would you worry about this?
We remember the dead during prayer intentions, right?

Sounds like it was nice
Why ruin the moment worrying about things out of your control.
Especially when it negates nothing in the Mass.

The obligation of attendance at Mass on Sunday and holy days of obligation applies to any Catholic mass that day.
