That’s true. And I’ll agree 100%

The way the Church sees things is to avoid creating unnecessary burdens.

Let’s say that the patronal feast of my home country is a saint who isn’t well-known internationally. It’s a HDO in my country, but no where else. It might be difficult to find a Catholic church with a scheduled Mass that I can attend. Maybe I think I find a Mass but when I get there I’m told “Father had to be out of town today so there’s no Mass” because for them it’s just a typical weekday.

It’s one thing to say to go to Mass every Sunday because we can be reasonably sure we can find a Catholic Mass on Sunday (most places). But if it’s a day that doesn’t hold any particular importance for the local population, it might not be so easy.
