Just wanted to post this. My archbishop is in town for a couple of days (confirmation) and said mass this afternoon. I have never been to a weekday mass unless it was a holy day of obligation, but I went today. I figured how often does one get to celebrate mass with a bishop not to mention the fact that I am on the parish council and wanted at least one person to be there.

We had five people show up which includes the bishop and our resident priest. What a wonderful mass it was, I have been walking around smiling and singing hyms.

Tonight is the confirmation mass and I hope it is as wonderful as the noon mass.

I went to my first weekday mass earlier this year and i agree…a wonderful experience!

I go twice a week to weekday mass now, I love it. I was surprised how many people are there. We have 3,000 regular weekend parishoners according to one of the priests, and at each of the 7 and 8:30 masses I bet there are 75 people each. I thought that was pretty good in today’s age!
