Mass has been cancelled where I live.

Not left up to our discretion, cancelled.

My town closed down all the Churches last Sunday (Protestant and Catholic), so we were like ā€œno biggie, weā€™ll just go to Mass the next town overā€.

But now theyā€™re all cancelled.

Iā€™m incredibly sad over this šŸ˜”

Itā€™s cancelled in almost every diocese in the USA and in a lot of European countries as well.

I know itā€™s a bummer, but it will make us appreciate Mass more when it starts up again.

I personally just find it ironic this happened during the portion of my life where I actually go out to Mass on most days rather than the portion of my life where I didnā€™t go to Mass for literally years and might not have even noticed if it was cancelled.

As of now Catholic churches are still open here in the UK. I have read that Church of England are closing though.

I broke down crying when I got an email from my Bishop to that effect

I am right there with you. We got the email from our Bishop this morning, that Mass is suspended indefinitely. It left me devastated! We will all just have to lean on each other through this šŸ’•

@0Scarlett_nidiyilii, so happy to see you again! šŸ˜ƒ
I was worried about you!!

Thanks @Irishmom2 !ā¤ļøšŸ™‚šŸ’

Yeah, the spit hit the fan a couple months back and the dust is just now staring to settle.

I was wondering if something like that happened. I remembered you mentioning a few things going on. Hope everything is getting better for you.

Mass has been canceled where I live too. Thereā€™s wonā€™t even be an Easter Mass. I canā€™t imagine not being able to go to Mass on Easter.

Yep. Weā€™re out too. No thing going on until further notice for the entire archdiocese.

Well, itā€™s fluid here and will be for the weeks to come. Our Bishop announced a dispensation from Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation. However, he said the Diocese is committed to providing the Sacraments and Masses are still being offered and open. He went on to address specific actions to reduce the risk to all Parishioners. Most of the Parishes are smaller and generous spacing isnā€™t a problem. I did notice last Sunday that we were alone in the second pew ( wife and I), many totally empty pews behind us, then the last 5 or so pews packed.
