Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, on May 13 - the date on which Mary first appeared to the three little shepherd children: Lucia age 10, Francisco who would be 9 in June and Jacinta age 7. EWTN has an account of this First Apparition if you would like to read it, HERE

There are links to each of the six apparitions, as well as other information on the Apparitions, the Children, the Message, Special Programming on Fatima, beginning today, and a Gallery of videos you can view.

By God’s Grace, may we learn all we can during this 100th Anniversary Year of Our Lady’s Apparitions at Fatima, prayerfully seeking to understand more of what the Lord has revealed through Our Lady of Fatima and what it means for us today.

As you may be aware Pope Francis is on pilgrimage to Fatima and will canonize Bl. Francisco and Bl. Jacinta. The process for Lucia’s canonization began after her death and is continuing.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

Dear Katherine,

Thanks for your reply, for the beautiful prayer, and for your love of Jesus through Mary which prompted you. Happy, and Holy Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, to you and to all, today! 🙂
