Our lutheran son and his catholic fiance are engaged to be married. If they marry in the Lutheran church will their marriage be recognized in the eyes of the Catholic church and will she be able to continue to take communion.

Hi,

A Catholic may not marry in a non-Catholic church unless he or she has first gone through the Catholic Church’s marriage preparation and has a priest present at the wedding (while the non-Catholic clergy person officiates) . She needs to see her priest; but it can be done.
