May I register outside of my local parish?

I live in a small rural community. My county has one parish. The priest is very liberal and abuses the Mass. I have found a wonderful orthodox parish in a neighboring county. I do not forget to pray for my priest and the parish I live in, but I would love to attend Mass at the neighboring parish. Do I have an obligation to attend Mass at my home parish?

Dear M,

The current code of canon law, unlike the one that preceeded it, does not require that one register in the parish in whose boundaries one lives. So you are free to be a part of whatever Catholic parish you choose.
