I remember back when I was a kid, we used to wear a light-blue ribbon with (I believe) a Miraculous Medal (MM) for the month of May.
Also, in the fall (October? November?) we wore a red ribbon with (I think) a Sacred Heart medal, but I’m not sure.
Can anyone give me any info on these? History, etc? Where can I obtain a ribbon/medal?
The only thing I could find in the Catholic Encycl. was that the confraternity of the Immaculate Conception known as the Sodality of the Children of Mary Immaculate adopted the MM on a blue ribbon as a badge.
Since I wore the blue ribbon in school, was I “invested” in this as a child (possibly not understanding it), sort of the way one is invested in say the Brown Scapular? Do I need special permission to wear this?
I’m so completely out to lunch on this 'tain’t funny.
