May non-Catholics volunteer for Catholic parish ministry?

I have a question that does not really have to do with appologitics. I am the yyouth minister at my parish, my wife is not catholic but she attends mass with me and is a very big part of the youth ministry program. She has never tried or even thought about teaching anything that goes against catholic teaching ( I would never let that happen). She has even directed out passion play we do for the younger grades. Recently one of our decons has started raising a big fuss about her helping out, I have spoken with my pastor and he has no problem with it either. My question is, is there anything as far as cannon law or any document pertaining to non-catholics volunteering with any catholic ministry?
Not that I want to go and rub anyones nose in it, but i would like to know.

Hi,

Canon law does not deal with such specifics as parish youth ministry. The matter of your non-Catholic wife assisting you in such ministry seems harmless enough–especially when you say that you would never allow her to teach or say anything against Catholic teaching.

But you are dealing with impressionable youth and teach them also by modeling the Catholic faith for them. Such modeling is just as important as the intellectual information that you are giving them. What they see and experience should be CATHOLIC modeling. If I were the pastor, I would not have a non-Catholic direct a parish passion play for children.

I think the deacon has a point!
