It does help sometimes just to be able to talk about what your going through. Yesterday I went into my Mom’s to take her for a wound care treatment and she had me upset in about 2 minutes. The best thing I have found to do in these situations is to pray the Hail Mary.
It really changes my attitude so that I can deal with the situation and I believe many times it changes her attitude as well. I get angry with her but then realize alot of it is just common situations with elderly, that its not that she is deliberately being difficult. I need alot of mercy from God and I am reminded I need to show alot of mercy as well.
