It’s worth mentioning, but I asked Catholic clergy about this and they said it was okay. So that tells me that opposition from the Orthodox side doesn’t stop it from happening, and it’s not as if it’s a command “under the pain of sin”. I have read this before online but things seem to be different in real life.Hi fluttershy. Just read this thread for the first time.
As you rightly point out, Catholic priests are permitted to give communion to Orthodox Christians if they request it. But (for whatever it’s worth) I personally wouldn’t receive communion from a Catholic priest, if I were Orthodox, since most Orthodox bishop are against it.
