ok, anybody deal with this one? My boys, 8 and 10, are constantly tormented by a clique of girls. These girls are so sweet, so pretty, and so privileged, but they are soooo mean! Exclusion, framing, bossing, tattling (I mean making things up) and so on. The boys get blamed for everything. (they have been taught to be gentlemen). They’ve even been hit but the girls are so good at covering their offenses. These girls are from privileged homes. Their parents (ok, their moms) intervene and reprimand my boys.
I never had girls. I am still having a hard time accepting the fact that they can be so mean. Am I crazy?

Okay… I gotta ask a few questions here::hmmm:

Why do you allow some other mother to reprimand your children?
Why do you allow your sons to continue to be associated with these girls, given the repeated offenses?
Where is this happening?

Not trying to be mean, just need more information on the situation before commenting.

I dunno, my friends and I had the same problem in grade school. Eventually they just went away (the whole thing with cooties, and chasing us around the playground, throwing sand, etc etc) It’ll probably stop on its own eventually (how long has it been going?)

I have three girls that are all older and moved out of the house. I saw quite a bit happen over the years, and yes I could believe that parents could overlook problems of their children and that girls from privledged homes could be mean. I wouldn’t judge this situation from afar, but trust me on this- girls could be guilty of what your boys have said. However, the truth could be somewhere in the middle. Please keep an eye on it for your children’s safety.
