Meaning of a name

I don’t know if this is the right place to put this but I’ll slot it here as I think alot of learned people come into this part of CA forums.

I’d be grateful if anyone knows what the name ‘Adanon’ or perhaps spelt ‘Adonon’ of similar sounding and spelling to that means. I would like to know the meaning of that name.

Thank you for the reply. The name is different to the name you give for our Lord. The name I am asking about is not a name for our Lord. I think ‘Adonon’ or ‘Adanon’ means ‘Beautiful one’, but I am not sure of that and would like to find out what the name means.

Perhaps you should post your question in the Family Life forum. Many parents know about names, since they had to pick names for their children. There is even a thread going on right now about weird names for kids. You probably will not get much help in the Sacred Scripture forum, since the name you mentioned is not in the Bible.

Do you know what language it is? Also, is it an actual name in that language, or just a phrase?

If you don’t know what language it is, maybe you can give some background on where exactly you heard it?

I think it is more of a phrase that is a name and I seem to think it means ‘beautiful one’ but I cannot be sure and I cannot be sure of the language neither can I be sure from where I heard it.

I’m not much help, but I would like to know if anyone knows of this name and what it means, that’s all.
