I am preparing to make the consecration to Mary according to the formula of St. Louis de Montfort on December 8. When the time comes to make the consecration itself, how is it done? Does it need to be done in the presence of a priest, or do I just pray the consecration by myself, say, in front of the Blessed Sacrament?
Actually, now I’m re-reading it, and it appears that we are supposed to go to Confession, and then receive Communion with the intention of making the consecration, and then the recite the Act of Consecration afterward, and sign it.
Am I getting this right? I feel like this is going to be a big step for me. Not quite as big as Confirmation, but momentous nonetheless.
