Hi I’m an old watch of these forums been browsing then for years made a few accounts but never really stuck to one account cause well I forgot it.
Hi to all, you all know me and believe me I know you.
I am a man who loves my logic. If it doesn’t make cents then its not worth my time or money (pun intended).
Over the past few weeks I been noticing quite a few articles about what kids should or should not view. Some said banning books is wrong, some said keep your kids on the straight and narrow is the way. Well I have come to assist in this great time of crisis!
Dominic’s Fun Entertainment Post of Fun and Learning:
Okay first off what should a parent do when a thier children want to indulge in entertainment? Most take a glance and put an end to it right there. The classic “I don’t like the cover” is a popular response. Join them? Hey what can it hurt? Your right on the ground floor what can go wrong? You could allow it silently and view the results. There is the also “I want my child to know I trust them because they are a good boy or girl.”
If you are going solid with any of these well then something is wrong.
If at this point your going “Dude this guy is hash” then good. I have watched peoples religion shattered over this, mine included so believe me when I say this:
“If you have walls with no gates or no walls at all you end of with a mixed up lost flock.”
1 of 2 things will happen.
Okay so at this point I’m hoping your still reading and if you are then I hope your saying “Oh what do we do oh great guru of wisdom?” or at lest “Oh really?”
Now lets take Bob (I like Bob hes my buster like the dummy on myth busters for all my stories) hes a 10 yr old kid who wants to watch a movie say… Hoccu Poccus. You know that funny movie with the 3 witches that you see every year on Halloween?
Lets brake it down:
It has Killing, kids braking the rules, magic (dark magic at that), zombies, witches, a love story and last but not lest mild reference to sex.
Should anyone watch this movie? No, should some people… yes 15 up I’d say but you would be surprised how many kids watch it.
Now I’m also hoping if none of you have seen it then your asking: “Hey dominic, why should anyone watch this?”
Cause its Fun and Educational.
“Wait what?”
You heard me. when you embark to jump on the band wagon to view the silver screen the LCD of games the books of many comics you have to remember 1 golden rule.
Its no whats in the movie its whats in the movie.
Theirs a movie coming out that’s based off of a comic book coming out that has the sickest violence, the twisted murder and sex ever written but to a chosen few adults I recommend it.
The movie is about the end of the world where the Angels are coming to find the remains of Adam the first man to start the end of the world. In the end the angels fail except one who befriend the main character who by the way is mentally in need of help who then literally kills all beings on this planet. In the final bit of the story the main character finally over comes it all and brings everyone back to life because he learned that humanity despite all the evil hes seen is worth a second chance.
Its a very power piece of work with a great story behind it but its DARK at first.
That is an example in the extreme mind you.
Its not whats in the story its whats in the story.
In order to have a story you need to have a conflict, in order to have a conflict you need a bad guy. Not always evil mind you. the bad guy has to do something evil and the hero has to over come it. Of course we have to grade what our children can handle but in the end if the struggle is for the greater good and we see morals being the ending note of the story then its good for us.
Within reason of course.
Even the Devil is in the bible.
Take that as you will.
Discuss.

1 of 2 things will happen.
- They will try and escape you!
- They will be so far gone and lost you don’t even know where you are.
