Hi everyone, I wanted to ask for some help. I’ve been a member on here for a while but don’t post much.

I am writing a dissertation on medieval lay devotions and prayer, and was wondering if anyone could suggest some spiritual writings I could look at. The only criteria is that they were in use before about 1650. I chose the topic because I thought that it would be good for my spiritual life as well as my course and, assuming I get accepted, my future study in the Seminary.

So far I have St Peter of Alcantara’s treatise on prayer and meditation, St Francis de Sale’s introduction to the devout life and Thomas A Kempis’ The Imitation of Christ.
I am also looking at the book of hours and different forms of the Rosary.

If any of you wonderful people could help it would be gratefully received.
