How is it possible to meditate on a mystery while saying the rosary? I find it nearly impossible. I think it’s only possible to do one thing at a time because whatever you say out loud, you think too.
Scriptural rosary is good. Besides, have you ever caught yourself praying the Hail Mary and you were thinking about what you are going to eat/cook tonight? If you can do that, then meditating on the mysteries are quite possible.
I actually find it easier to meditate when i am praying the Rosary rather than just sitting there in silence. The prayers are repetitive that is why it is easy to meditate and not have to pay attention to what you are saying cause you are just saying the Hail Mary over and over, it is like i am in cruise control while I pray.
You can play the rosary in the background and focus on meditating on the mystery. - In this mode, it is not required that you speak, but you let the rosary set the mood, and join your heart the prayers while meditating.
