How far should meditation go?

Sometimes I think my religion teacher takes it too far. It seems a little New Age and hippie-ish.

I know what you mean…but “too far” is probably not the right phrase. “Not for me” might be better.

To each his own.

I kind of feel the same way about people who say “God bless you” or “Peace be with you”, or something like that every single time they see someone - or every time they close an email.

If they, and the ones you speak of, are truly speaking and acting from the heart - with no goal other than serving our Lord the best they know how, then great.

Dear Batgirl,

Are you able to describe what it is that you were taught to do? I’m aware that some things are being shared in the classroom that are not suited to the age or ability of the person, but your post was a little vague. Maybe we can help if we understand it better.
