I have a few friends who have been to medj and have loved it said it was one of the most amazing experiences of their life would recommend it to everyone

then I have another friend who things its a horrible place and apparently its a sin to go there for the apparitions, he says a couple of bishops condemn the place.

could someone clear this up for me.

Is medj really a bad place to go

how do you explain the experiences people have, are they actually Mary or they demonic or something.

anyone been there have an opinion on it.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Medjugorje is in the process of being officially investigated by official persons from the Vatican, who hopefully will clear this question up once and for all. We are standing by for the results.

We aren’t supposed to talk about private revelations yet to be approved on the forum are we? I thought I saw someone say that in a post once.

Does anyone know where you can go to talk about those things?

I have tons of questions about different things but I’m too scared to ask for fear of being banned 😊

Medjugorje was a marvelous experience and place to visit, I’d go back in a heartbeat!! … made some very good friends I keep in touch with today.

Promoting unapproved apparitions and revelations (those not approved by the Church for private or public devotion) or alleged private locutions

I do not know if that means that we can’t discuss it at all or only that it cannot be promoted as authentic. I’m sure a moderator will step in and inform us.

That said…

Medjugorje is currently unapproved by the Church.

According to Cardinal Bertone:
“The result from this in what is precisely said is that official pilgrimages to Medjugorje, understood as a place of authentic Marian apparitions, are not permitted to be organized either on the parish or on the diocesan level, because that would be in contradiction to what the Bishops of former Yugoslavia affirmed in their fore mentioned Declaration.”

Until such time as Medjugorje is approved by the Church it is, and will remain a banned topic here at CAF.
