I notice in my church they use any of four different responses during the Memorial Acclamation. Is there a specific pattern they follow, such as with the liturgical calendar? How is one supposed to know which response will be used on a particular day? 🤷

Thanks,
Frank

I take it you’re not in Canada where each acclamation has it’s own introduction. There is no pattern of which I’m aware. If it’s sung, you can take your cue from the music. In a Mass with no music, Fr. would lead you into the response he’s looking for.

I’ve notice that our Pastor has stopped using “Christ has died…” in preparation for Advent when it disappears for good from the Roman Missal.

Deo Gratias! 👍

I never could understand why we proclaim “Christ will come again” when He just arrived in the Consecration and is sitting there on the altar.
