I wanted to post this in, “Catholic Living”, but, since that is all sub-sectioned and I wasn’t sure where exactly it would go, I am posting it here, as it is an offshoot of the volitile Pants v Skirts Debates.
I have no problem with it. If a man wants to wear make up to cover his complextion or just eye liner to make his eyes bigger (though, I’m not a fan of eye-liner, no matter who it’s on), that is his business. Again, I believe it is people interpreting what they want to when they say this is against God, but, if there is ANYWHERE that says, “Men must NOT wear make up to make themselves up for any reason,” then, I will conceed on this point. Make up is neutral, indifferent at best. I’m not a fan of it,though. I hate taking time out of my day to get tarted up and for those who rely on it, they’re not that pretty, anyway.
We need to define what is okay and what is not. If one is a broadcaster or actor, is that okay? If a man wants to define his cheekbones more, is that okay? If a man wants to cover a scar? If a man is doing it to attract a woman?
Who here thinks it’s alright, who here doesn’t, and which of you men have worn make up?
