Hi Kids,

Looking for an order of priests or sisters with an active apostolate and who are completely in union with the Holy Father and the Magisterium?

Well, I spent last weekend with just such a group and feel the need to tell you all about them. :extrahappy: Unfortunately, I caught a cold on the plane home, so I’m not up to a full presentation at the moment. So I’ll just have to say that I strongly encourage you to look over the links below and contact them. :yup: :amen:

Note for men: Fr. Paulo, the men’s vocation director, will be in Nigeria giving a retreat to seminarians there until the second week of August, so if you want to contact him, call the Pius Union office and leave a message with Lauren, his administrative assistant.

The men are called the Servants of Charity, and the women are the Daughters of Saint Mary of Providence.

Both groups are deeply committed to serving the poor, the sick, the dying, the abandoned – in other words, OUR LORD.

I spent the weekend with some of the men at the Pius Union of St. Joseph for the Suffering and Dying and the Saint Louis Center

The Pius Union is a is a pilgrimage center for the suffering and dying and those who love them. The Saint Louis Center is a residential living and treatment center for the developmentally disabled.

In other countries they have clinics, hospitals, feeding programs for children, and too many other things to mention.

PLEASE, CHECK THEM OUT!

Augie

p.s. Here are a few pics I stole from their websites. The first two are from the Pius Union. The last two are of some of the sisters at other locations.

The first is of Fr. Paulo anointing Mass-goers with water from Lourdes after Mass. The little chapel is a converted barn.

Pic #2 is the plan for their Calvary, which will feature the stations of the cross starting near their Lourdes Grotto, (already complete, but not pictured). Fr. Paulo signed the contract for construction of the Calvary while I was there, and construction will start this week. He has less than 1/4 of the money in hand, but that does not worry him because “the Lord will provide.”
